UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK SERVICES
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) requires that most Underground Storage Tanks (USTs), other than heating oil, be registered. This applies to out-of-service USTs and USTs found during site renovation. UST registration is required prior to removal, as is notification of intent to remove a UST. Failure to comply with these requirements, or improper notification, can result in fines and liability for contamination that may otherwise be avoided. In addition, the owner of a Leaking UST (LUST) is required to hire a Qualified Underground Storage Tank Consultant (QC) to complete corrective actions. ASTI ENVIRONMENTAL will assist you through all of your storage tank challenges.
