WETLAND FILLS AND BRIDGE PERMITS
GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP, MI

The Nine Mile Road Reconstruction project required extensive wetland delineation and quality assessment because the design engineers wanted to develop an alignment which minimized wetland, lake and river impacts.  ASTI flagged wetlands for road commission survey crews and met on-site with DEQ Land & Water Management Division staff to evaluate wetland functions and wetland quality.

ASTI worked with design engineers in production of construction drawings to identify methods to reduce the road footprint in regulated areas.  The team determined that steeper embankments and guardrail were appropriate at two high-quality locations.  Plans were submitted for the wetland permit application and the application was approved
