ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE AUDIT
NOVI, MI

In July of 2005, ASTI Environmental was retained by Mahle to perform an environmental compliance audit for two facilities in southeast Michigan.

ASTI used the results of the audit and worked with key Mahle staff to develop a list of necessary plans, permits, and programs and a timeline for achieving compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

ASTI developed a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) and Pollution Incident Prevention Plan for the facility to comply with federal (Oil Pollution Act) and state (Michigan Part 5) spill prevention planning requirements.  ASTI also provided the MDEQ with an air permit to install (PTI) application with supporting modeling and analysis of all regulated sources of emissions at the facility and secured for Mahle the permit necessary to continue their operations.  All of the plans, programs and permits developed for Mahle were integrated into its existing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

ASTI continues to provide environmental services to the Mahle facilities in Novi and Farmington Hills.
