Tiberina welds, laser cuts and heat treats parts for the automotive industry. ASTI was engaged to prepare an Environmental and OSHA Compliance Assessment to identify environmental regulations and reporting requirements that were applicable to the client’s facility, including but not limited to the following:
- Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act
- Clean Air Act
- Clean Water Act
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
- Federal Oil Pollution Prevention Regulation
- Hazardous Materials Transportation Act
- Applicable State Regulations
- MIOSHA and OSHA safety requirements
- Comprehensive document review of all current and past training
- A training matrix tailored to our client’s operations
- Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act
Our recommendations were to implement and document the integrated emergency response plan, and HazCom and spill response training, and that records of materials consumed and calculated emissions are required to be maintained on a monthly basis to demonstrate the exempt status according to Rule No. 290. Spill kits for coolants and battery acid were also recommended.
