The project entailed preliminary site review of multiple sites for the Davison Township Dog Park and Lake Callis Recreation Area. ASTI worked with the Township to narrow the scope to two separate sites based on Township property ownership and needs. Wetland delineations were completed for both sites by ASTI. Upon final designs of each project, it was determined that 2.36 acres of regulated wetland would be impacted and require wetland mitigation per EGLE. ASTI coordinated with Davison Township to obtain the appropriate EGLE permits for both projects. ASTI also designed the EGLE-approved wetland mitigation design for both projects on one site totaling 3.7 acres of wetland mitigation located immediately adjacent to the Lake Callis site. ASTI completed wetland mitigation construction oversight to ensure all aspects of the mitigation plan were followed. ASTI is currently completing EGLE-required wetland mitigation monitoring.
