ASTI provided asbestos and lead consulting services to support building renovations and development activities at County View Apartments. Country View Apartments, built in the mid-1970’s, is a multi-family complex with apartments and townhouses. The property contains nine single-story apartment buildings, eight two-story apartment buildings, 11 townhome buildings, and one community center and leasing center building.  ASTI personnel completed an asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspection and lead-based paint (LBP) inspection and risk assessment of the development prior to renovation of the building. ASTI’s inspections helped to assist MHT in the complete renovation of the Townhouses and apartment units.

ASTI assisted with compliance of asbestos and lead regulations during and after renovation activities that resulted in completion of an asbestos and lead exposure assessment, asbestos abatement oversight air clearances and lead clearances. ASTI’s activities were completed in compliance with the requirements of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs), Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Following the completion of the project, ASTI prepared the lead and asbestos closeout report to comply with MSHDA requirements.
