ASTI was contracted by the City of Flint to manage and implement two EPA Site Assessment Grants, one for hazardous substances and one for petroleum products. These grants focused on specific redevelopment areas within the city.
Working with an advisory committee, ASTI assisted the City in developing criteria for site nomination and prioritization. The scope of services included: preparation of a project-specific Quality Assurance Project Plan; site-specific Sampling Plans and Health and Safety Plans; Phase I and Phase II investigations; asbestos and underground storage tank investigations; Baseline Environmental Assessments; documentation and reporting to support the grants; and assistance with Brownfield redevelopment strategies.
In addition to implementing the technical aspects of these grants, ASTI completed all community outreach, grant documentation, and reporting services.
