Eaton Rapids, MI, April 9, 2017:  We are only as good as our last project but ASTI Environmental is pleased to report that we recently completed our 10,012th project, a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment of an 80-year old historic elementary school at 208 King Street, Eaton Rapids, MI.

Submittal of emissions information is required by State Law (Article II: Pollution Control, Chapter 1, Point Source Pollution Control, Part 55 of PA 451 of 1994, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act.

Detroit has just announced that it has additional grant funding for environmental assessments in the City.   But we need to act quickly, because they need your application submitted by next Wednesday (October 5th).   Once approved, we have until June 2017 to complete the assessment for you at no cost.   If you are even thinking of a new project in the City that might start over the next eight months, ASTI Environmental will complete your application for review.

Before an original provisional license may be issued for a center located in a building constructed prior to 1978, the Child Care Center applicant must submit a lead hazard risk assessment report indicating that the proposed child-use space, including outdoor play areas, is safe. 

Centers licensed before December 7, 2006 located in a building constructed prior to 1978 have until January 2, 2017 to obtain a lead hazard risk assessment.

Grand Rapids, MI, June 15, 2016:  ASTI Environmental has been selected to provide as-needed professional environmental services to the City of Grand Rapids.  This multi-year contract include investigation, sampling, remediation and/or risk management services related to: Air Quality, Asbestos-Containing Materials, Lead-Based Paint and pollution prevention.

Achieving and maintaining compliance with local, state and federal regulations can be an arduous process.  It’s important for facility managers to remember that parking lot runoff, parts cleaning processes, outdoor storage of raw materials, manufacturing scrap and  rejects, painting/printing/adhesive processes, chemicals used in manufacturing, vent hoods and booths, secondary containment and spill prevention systems are all subject to regulation.
