Brighton, MI, July 29, 2015: Katherine Kirby White has joined ASTI Environmental’s Brownfield Redevelopment team and will focus on writing grant proposals and applications, as well as completing incentive programs under the direction of ASTI President Tom Wackerman. 

Thomas Wackerman, President of ASTI Environmental, will once again have the honor of being a speaker at the National Brownfields Training Conference in Chicago, IL on September 2-4.  This is his fourth presentation to this group, and this year he will be discussing the Rivertown Neighborhood Project: and How Senior Housing Can Revitalize a Former Industrial Area in Detroit's East Riverfront District.

June 23, 2015, Washington DC:  The EPA has awarded $54.3 million to 147 communities across the US to cleanup and redevelop contaminated properties and boost local economies.  Six Michigan communities will receive a total of more than $2.5 million to fund Phase I/IIs, Asbestos, Lead Paint and other hazardous materials

April 20, 2015, Livonia, MI:   As a General Services Administration (GSA) contract holder, ASTI Environmental is pleased that both Lara Treemore Spears and Joe Beutler have been selected as expert speakers for the Great Lakes Civil Infrastructure Conference to be convened on April 30, 2015 at Schoolcraft College’s VisTaTech Center in Livonia, MI.  Co-hosted by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and Schoolcraft College’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), this conference is devoted to regional sustainability, infrastructure resilience and improving our state’s transportation and energy networks.

Brighton, MI, March 25, 2015:  Jeremy Efros, C.P.G., has conducted investigative activities on environmentally impacted sites in several states for both public and private clients since 1995. He has implemented remedial activities for petroleum contaminated soil and water from leaking underground storage tanks.
