Meet Jason Lagowski, ASTI Environmental’s National PFAS Leader and Senior Project Manager. Based out of our Brighton, Michigan office, Jason brings more than 35 years of experience leading complex environmental projects across North America and Australia.
We recently caught up with Jason ahead of his poster presentation at the upcoming Chlorinated Conference 2026 taking place May 31 through June 4 in Fort Worth, Texas. His poster presentation, “Innovative Approaches to Evaluating Remediation Project Success and Cost in a Digital Age,” will highlight how technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), advanced data analytics, and interactive dashboards are helping improve how remediation projects are evaluated and managed. If you are attending the conference, be sure to stop by and connect with Jason.
Throughout his career, Jason has developed expertise in environmental due diligence, brownfields, emerging contaminants, PFAS remediation technologies, environmental liability management, and large-scale site restoration efforts for municipal, industrial, energy, aviation, defense, and petrochemical clients. He is recognized for developing high-performing teams, strengthening operational performance, and helping clients navigate complex environmental challenges.
As awareness and regulation surrounding PFAS continues to grow across the country, organizations are facing increasing pressure to better understand and manage potential environmental impacts. PFAS-related services are becoming increasingly important as environmental liability concerns and regulatory requirements continue to evolve for property owners, developers, municipalities, and industrial operators. ASTI Environmental helps clients evaluate site conditions, assess environmental risk, navigate compliance requirements, and develop remediation strategies tailored to long-term project goals.
Jason has also played a leadership role in advancing innovative PFAS remediation technologies within the industry. Most notably, he contributed to the world’s first commercial application of ozone/foam fractionation for PFAS remediation, an effort that received four international innovation awards and helped establish a new benchmark for remediation technology.
In addition to his technical expertise, Jason is a Certified Professional Geologist and remains actively involved in several industry organizations and advisory groups, including the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) National Screening Committee, the AIPG Michigan Section Executive Committee, the Michigan EGLE Part 201 Response Activity Review Panel, and the EGLE MPART Citizens Advisory Working Group Leadership Team.
